Château de Villiers stands in Draveil (Essonne), in the Île-de-France region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: fourth quarter of the 16th century, fourth quarter of the 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
In Draveil, near the Seine and the Sénart forest, the Château de Villiers was rebuilt in the late 18th century after a fire, for the Count of Bombelles. Its Louis XVI architecture shows in two entrance pavilions opening onto a courtyard, and in matching facades topped with pediments, the western one carved with a figure of Ceres. Having passed through several private owners before reaching the local authority, the building now houses the town's public library, which allows visitors to see part of it without a guided tour.
