Villemoleix château in Chambon-sur-Voueize, Creuse, dates back to the fifteenth century. The remarkable structure that survives is its dovecote, a stone building nearly five and a half metres tall, built during the same period. This circular construction, with an entrance door decorated with varied sculptural motifs, retains traces of its former agricultural purpose, featuring four hundred forty-five niches arranged diagonally for keeping pigeons.
