To make a day of it

Château de Vesvrotte stands in Beire-le-Châtel (Côte-d'Or), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The château de Vesvrotte stands in the hamlet of the same name, in the commune of Beire-le-Châtel in the Côte-d'Or, set apart from the main village and reached via the departmental road 112e. Originating as a fortified house in the 13th century, the building retains a four-storey rectangular keep still bearing traces of timber-framed infill, while a polygonal tower links the two wings around the courtyard of honour. Successive alterations from the 17th to the 19th century added two round towers, turrets, a chapel and a dovecote, forming an uneven yet coherent whole.
