To make a day of it

Château de Trie stands in Trie-Château (Oise), in the Hauts-de-France region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument. No visits are on record for this building.

In Trie-Château, in the Oise department, the remains of a stronghold founded in the 11th century by King Philip I now house the town hall. Of the extensive medieval complex, later enlarged in the 17th century and ruined during the Revolution, only a round tower, two half-round towers, a curtain wall and a Renaissance staircase remain. The site was occupied by the English during the Hundred Years' War, received a visit from Henri IV, and later belonged to the Count of Gobineau in the 19th century. Visitors mainly come to see the protected medieval and Renaissance features, now part of a working public building.
