An austere early 17th century manor house gave way in 1740 to a pleasure château built of brick and stone, before a 19th century remodelling added the landscaped park seen today. With its avenue of lime trees, farm outbuildings, dovecote and walled kitchen garden, the estate has a scale rarely found in the region.
