To make a day of it

Manoir stands in Doudeauville (Pas-de-Calais), in the Hauts-de-France region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: first half of the 17th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

In Doudeauville, in the Pas-de-Calais region, this manor house from the first half of the 17th century forms one side of a farm courtyard still lined with stables, barns and a former pigsty. Built of brick under a tiled roof, it has retained its original layout, including a dovecote tower attached to the main dwelling. Inside, old fireplaces and pilastered wood panelling survive. The whole complex, still rural in character, keeps a somewhat defensive appearance despite its farming use.

What to know

  • The manor house has been listed as a historic monument since 14 December 2012, together with the farm buildings, courtyard and former garden.
  • The property remains a private working farm arranged around a closed courtyard, which limits free access to the building.
  • No visiting hours or admission fees for the manor itself are available in our sources.
  • The guest rooms and cottages on the estate are a separate commercial activity and do not amount to a heritage visit of the manor.
