Château de Gœulzin stands in Gœulzin (Nord), in the Hauts-de-France region of France. What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château, dont la première mention date de 1310 était du type d'une maison-forte. Brûlé à deux reprises au 16e siècle, il a été reconstruit au siècle suivant par Charles Albert de Longeval, comte de Bucquoy, seigneur de Goeulzin. Au 17e siècle, la famille Pronville a cédé le domaine à Pierre Taffin. En 1763 a eu lieu la construction d'une tour constituée d'une glacière et d'un colombier à proximité des dépendances du château. L'église a été reconstruite en 1771. Au 19e siècle a été entreprise la dernière restauration du château. Occupé par les troupes allemandes durant la Première Guerre mondiale, il a été pillé et laissé à l'abandon. Avec l'invention de la glace artificielle dans la seconde moitié du 19e siècle, la tour glacière a perdu sa raison d'être.
