To make a day of it

Château de Saint-Michel-de-Lanès stands in Saint-Michel-de-Lanès (Aude), in the Occitanie region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

In the Lauragais area of the Aude department, this eighteenth-century château stands where a medieval stronghold once stood, of which only one tower remains, reassembled here in 1810. Its English-style park runs along the Hers-Mort river, and the main facade features carved grotesques along with goddess heads crowning the roofline. The house is still lived in by its owners, who have cared for it since the late twentieth century.
