Sièges d'une châtellenie qui remonte au XIIe siècle, les bâtiments (château, communs et dépendances, fuie, ancienne tour de défense, chapelle Notre-Dame de Lorette) sont datés du XVIe au début du XIXe siècle. Le corps principal (1806) témoigne de l'adoption d'un parti architectural classique précoce dans le XIXe siècle angevin, et les intérieurs comportent des pièces avec des décors commandés par la famille Pasqueray du Rouzaye, ainsi que du mobilier Directoire et Empire.
