The Château de Rocheblave stands above the Tarn river, at the entrance to the gorges, in the commune of Ispagnac in the Lozère department. Built in the 16th century, it held a strategic position overlooking both the passage into the gorges and the access to the Sauveterre plateau. Its outline, visible from the road connecting Quézac to Sainte-Enimie, bears witness to the succession of families who owned it, from the Lauberge to the Vergèze d'Aubussargues, down to deputy Louis Jourdan at the end of the 19th century.
