What the French Ministry of Culture records

Edifice de la fin du 15e siècle, occupé au 19e siècle par une fonderie dont les bâtiments industriels, construits sous le château, ont disparu. A la fin du 19e siècle, le domaine est réoganisé pour l'agrément et le château restauré. La partie arrière de l'édifice est neuve. Les tours de la façade sud, la façade Est avec son chemin de ronde, et ses deux tourelles en encorbellement sont anciennes. Le parc, dessiné à l'anglaise, s'orne de statues de fonte provenant de l'ancienne fonderie Ducel.
