The du Marhallac'h family made it their home after the French Revolution, and a later building campaign gave it its current neo-Gothic look, with round towers, a corbelled keep and a chapel. The park, laid out in the 1840s by Denis Bülher, contains Gallo-Roman remains uncovered in 1833 as well as trees brought from distant regions.
