The château de Nizas stands in the Hérault department, built in the late 16th or early 17th century around an inner courtyard enclosed on three sides. Two of the original corner towers remain on the north side, flanking a facade pierced by a Renaissance portal with columns and a carved pediment. Inside, a straight staircase and a spiral staircase testify to the building's age, despite extensive 19th century alterations. The surrounding estate is now devoted to winegrowing.
