Built between 1656 and 1660, the château de Jonquières stands at the centre of the village of the same name in the Hérault department, on the site of an earlier rural stronghold. Three wings enclose a courtyard closed off from the street by a gate: the main residence in the middle, outbuildings to the north, and to the south a church raised at the same time as the château. Notable features include a curved double staircase decorated with carved dogs, a gallery running along the upper floor, and a freestanding ornate gateway in the park, remnant of a former avenue.
