The château de Montcony stands in the Bresse louhannaise region, on a moated mound in Montcony, Saône-et-Loire. Built in the 13th century and altered in the 15th, its present appearance owes much to four stout round brick towers topped with conical ochre-tiled roofs, typical of Bresse building style. A private property that has passed through a handful of families since the Middle Ages, it is not open to visitors inside.
