Perched at 505 metres on a castle mound, the château de Montaigut-le-Blanc overlooks the Gartempe valley in the Creuse department. Built from the 15th century onward, it served as a military stronghold before falling into ruin and being restored from 1976 by its owners. The seigneurial hall is open to visitors today, along with the rooftop terrace, which gives a full panoramic view over the surrounding hills.
