Château de Montagu stands in Marcoussis (Essonne), in the Île-de-France region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Château de Montagu survives only as ruins, set in the Salmouille valley near Marcoussis on land now part of a horticultural school. Visitors can still make out the gatehouse tower, the so-called dungeon tower, a moat and a stone bridge, remnants of a stronghold begun in the early 15th century for a powerful royal minister before it became a royal hunting retreat and later a refuge for rebellious princes during the Fronde. What remains is less a standing castle than stonework emerging from the ground amid ditches and a levelled terrace.
