What the French Ministry of Culture records
A l'origine, le château comportait quatre tours carrées entourant une cour fermée, le tout entouré de fossés. La tour nord-est s'est écroulée à la fin du 19e siècle. La tour sud-ouest abritait un bureau et servait d'entrepôt à la fabrique. L'accès au nord passe par l'ancien jardin à la française, transformé en lieu de travail lors de la mise en place de l'ancienne faïencerie. Entre le corps de bâtiment Est et la tour nord-ouest se trouvent les bâtiments Renaissance. Dans la partie sud du château se trouvaient les fours à calciner. La cour centrale, fermée à l'origine, possède un mur qui abrite, au nord, une cuisine et un corps de bâtiment aménagé en partie en 1759-1765 lors de l'installation de la faïencerie. La pièce située au deuxième étage de la tour nord conserve des peintures murales du 16e siècle.
