What the French Ministry of Culture records

Première mention de la seigneurie de Massebeau en 1315, dépendant du vicomté de Murat. L'édifice se compose de deux ailes se faisant face de part et d'autre d'une cour, clôturée à l'ouest par un mur et s'ouvrant à l'est par un porche. Un second porche, accolé à l'aile gauche, ouvre sur le vallon. Chaque corps de bâtiment est marqué, au centre de sa façade sur cour, par une tour d'escalier. A l'intérieur, le premier étage du corps de bâtiment nord conserve un plafond à caissons. Au sud, deux cheminées monumentales.
