To make a day of it
Château de Combrelles stands in Laveissière (Cantal), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
The château de Combrelles stands in ruins on a hilltop above Chambeuil, in Laveissière, overlooking the Alagnon valley. Only a few walls remain of this medieval fortress, but its history is known through an account left by a former chaplain, describing three fortified enclosures, a square keep with four turrets, and underground dungeons. The site recalls the former power of the lords of Combrelles, who held high justice over the whole Valagnon region.
