To make a day of it

Château de Chambeuil stands in Laveissière (Cantal), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The château de Chambeuil stands in ruins above the hamlet of the same name, in the commune of Laveissière in the Cantal department. Only sections of wall and the remains of a tower survive, overlooking the Valagnon stream and its waterfalls. The site is of interest mainly for its feudal history, marked by several noble families of the Haute-Auvergne region who held it in succession from the 13th to the 17th century, rather than for any architecture still standing.
