The château de Marsan stands in the Gers region on the site of a medieval stronghold, rebuilt in the 18th century for the Montesquiou family, who have held it since the Middle Ages. Two wings set at a right angle enclose a courtyard of honour, closed off by outbuildings and a gate, with the former castle chapel, now a parish church, at the far end. Two square towers frame the south façade, while the interior holds reception rooms on the ground floor and upstairs bedrooms decorated with tapestries and plasterwork.
