The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

Lyde Castle, built around 1632 in Gironde, exemplifies a stone residence organized around a central block flanked by three square pavilions. A round tower completes the southern side of the central pavilion. The building opens onto a large courtyard, bordered by service buildings and preceded by a flight of steps. The chapel, built in 1709, survived the 1795 fire that destroyed much of the estate and retains its eighteenth-century interior decoration, featuring wainscoting and period paintings.
