Château de Lyde stands in Baurech (Gironde), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. What the French Ministry of Culture records

L'édifice actuel fut bâti vers 1632. Le château se compose d'un corps de logis surmonté au centre et aux extrémités de trois pavillons carrés. Le pavillon central est flanqué côté sud d'une tourelle ronde. Devant la façade nord, précédée d'un perron et encadrée par deux longs ensembles de dépendances, s'étend une grande cour. La chapelle, érigée en 1709, échappe à l'incendie qui ravagea les bâtiments en 1795, et conserve ainsi un remarquable décor intérieur : murs tapissés de lambris, imitant le marbre dans le registre inférieur et rythmés de pilastres ioniques cannelés dans la partie supérieure. Les peintures ont été réalisées par Larraidy. Suite à l'incendie, des restaurations sont réalisées au cours du 19e siècle.
