The château de Laperrière once stood at the heart of the village of Laperrière-sur-Saône, in the Côte-d'Or, before disappearing in the first half of the 19th century. Of this brick fortress, once held by dukes of Burgundy and later by several princely families, only an oval platform remains, now built over by a bourgeois house, along with a short stretch of moat at the south-eastern corner. Visitors come here for the site and its history rather than for standing remains.
