Château de Lancosme stands in Vendœuvres (Indre), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is not open to visitors.
North of the Lancosme forest, in the Brenne region, this château founded in the 15th century was reshaped in the 19th century by architect Alfred Dauvergne, in a neo-medieval style. Owned successively by the Savary de Lancosme family and then the Crombez and Lestrange families, it has served many purposes over time, from an agricultural school to a wartime shelter for the Condé museum's collections, and later a home for a group of musicians. The estate's name also inspired that of the perfume brand Lancôme.
