Château du Bouchet stands in Rosnay (Indre), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, 17th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
In the Brenne region, a few kilometres from Le Blanc, the Château du Bouchet stands on a red sandstone outcrop overlooking the ponds of the area. Built from the 12th century and substantially reworked in the 15th and 17th centuries, it retains a keep flanked by towers with machicolations and a classical wing with Louis XIV woodwork and fireplaces. Visitors come mainly for the enclosed courtyard reached by a bridge over the moat, and for the traces left by the many families who owned it, from the Naillac to the Rochechouart de Mortemart.
