To make a day of it

Château de La Valette stands in Pressigny-les-Pins (Loiret), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The Château de La Valette stands in Pressigny-les-Pins, in the Loiret department, within a wooded park of 38 hectares. Built in 1864, the square building combines brick and stone in the treatment of its corners and window surrounds. Its eventful past, from aristocratic residence to refuge for Spanish exiles and cultural centre, is still visible in its interior decoration and in its facade, repainted by the artist Okuda San Miguel during an urban art festival. A neo-Gothic chapel, erected at the end of the 19th century, completes the grounds.
