What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château appartient au mouvement de constructions castrales que connut le Rouergue au 15e siècle. L'édifice n'a quasiment rien conservé de ses origines médiévales, l'essentiel du bâti étant postérieur à la guerre de Cent ans. Autour de 1577, le bâtiment a été remanié, agrandi et réhabilité de fenêtres à meneaux et défenses. Aux 18e et 19e siècles, le bâtiment est réaménagé et décoré pour en faire une demeure familiale.
