The château de la Missonnière stands in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in the Maine-et-Loire region, built in the classical style of the 18th century. Its main dwelling, flanked by two pavilions of tuffeau stone, faces south toward the Loire, set within a courtyard lined by former stables whose façades still bear equestrian carvings. Behind the house lies an octagonal chapel, while a walled island garden surrounded by moats extends to the north. The grounds today are home to Grand Noir du Berry donkeys and a flock of sheep.
