What the French Ministry of Culture records

Cet édifice a été bâti de 1913 à 1916 par l'architecte anglais Walter Cave pour le comte Pierre de Viel Castel. Le logis, de plan massé, est construit en brique avec des baies à petits carreaux aux boiseries blanches, dans le style anglais. L'aménagement intérieur comprend un demi-étage de soubassement à usage de service, un rez-de-chaussée (salon, salle à manger, bibliothèque) , un étage (chambres) et un étage de comble (ancien logement des domestiques). Le château est situé dans un parc boisé et planté. Une ancienne ferme sert de communs.
