To make a day of it

Château de la Faloise stands in La Faloise (Somme), in the Hauts-de-France region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

At La Faloise, south of Amiens, stand the remains of a medieval stronghold reshaped over the centuries. The oldest surviving part is a 15th century gatehouse, a square stone tower flanked by two pentagonal corner turrets, one window of which still bears its original prismatic moulded decoration. Around it, a 19th century brick and stone building, an octagonal dovecote and a watering trough recall the farm that once belonged to the estate.
