Set on a hill in the Périgord Blanc near the village of Eyliac, the Château de la Chalupie stands on the site of an earlier noble residence recorded as early as the start of the 16th century. The present building dates from the 17th century and is arranged around a square courtyard framed by the main house and a boundary wall. Remnants of machicolations survive, along with a pilaster-framed gateway topped by a trapezoidal pediment. The château is privately owned and can be seen from outside, around the edges of the estate.
