Château de La Bussière stands in Oullins-Pierre-Bénite (Rhône), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
The Château de La Bussière stands in Oullins, within the Lyon metropolitan area, on grounds that bear traces of several building phases dating back to the 16th century. Its west facade, in Renaissance style, recalls the old fortified house enlarged for the Deï family, before the site became, in the 18th century, a country residence surrounded by gardens and a dovecote. Owned by the town of Oullins since the late 1990s, the building has had several uses over time, from family home to lighting workshop, before being taken on for conversion into a municipal hall and housing. Visitors come today less for a museum-style tour than to see an old structure woven into the life of a neighbourhood.
