What the French Ministry of Culture records
L'édifice se compose du château proprement dit, dont la construction remonte au 15e siècle, et de deux ailes ajoutées sous Louis XIV. Un porche couvert et deux murs à arcades rejoignaient les extrémités de ces ailes et fermaient ainsi une cour d'honneur à peu près rectangulaire. Sur la face postérieure s'étendaient un parterre en terrasse et une orangerie. Un parc complétait l'ensemble.
