To make a day of it

Château de Heuqueville stands in Heuqueville (Eure), in the Normandie region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The château de Heuqueville stands south of the village in the Eure department, on the site of a former motte and bailey castle whose traces can still be made out across the road. The present house, built in limestone and brick by Adam de La Basoge, was altered during the 18th and early 19th centuries, giving it its symmetrical façade and English landscape park. Visitors can trace several building periods here: a courtyard enclosed by railings, a dovecote moved in 1771, and ponds set within a garden that replaced the original French-style parterre.
