To make a day of it

Château de Douville stands in Douville-sur-Andelle (Eure), in the Normandie region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The château de Douville consists today of ruins, the remains of a medieval stronghold built at the end of the twelfth century. Visitors can still make out traces of a keep flanked by four towers, along with fragments of the surrounding wall, itself reinforced with round towers. The site lies away from the village, on the right bank of the Andelle river, and recalls a defensive structure destroyed during the Hundred Years' War.
