What the French Ministry of Culture records

C'est vers 1180, que le château de Groslée aurait été bâti par Jacques de Groslée, sénéchal de Lyon. En 1323, Jocelyne de Groslée reconnait le tenir en fief du dauphin de Viennois. En 1420, Antoine de Groslée le vend à Aymé VII, Duc de Savoie, puis cette même famille le rachète en 1455. A partir de la fin du XVIIIe siècle, et jusqu'à la Révolution, il appartient à plusieurs familles, avant d'être vendu à des habitants du bourg qui devaient le raser.
