The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: fourth quarter of the 19th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Château de Grézan, in Laurens in the Hérault department, stands on the site of a former commandery of the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem, later turned into a wine estate in the 19th century. The building seen today dates largely from 1890, when Gabriel de Mirepoix commissioned architect Louis Garros to rebuild the whole domain in a neo-medieval style inspired by English Gothic Revival, with the main house, outbuildings and courtyard enclosed within crenellated walls and turrets. The surrounding park was designed as part of the same scheme. The estate now operates as a private art and culture centre hosting exhibitions and events rather than offering a traditional heritage visit.
