Built from 1223 onwards by the Treilhes family, later known as the Gléon family, the building was altered repeatedly over the centuries while guarding the entrance to the Corbières massif. Its history includes military sieges, a marquisate and a double murder that marked the area. Split in 1861, the estate is now shared between two separate wine producing properties.
