Château de Fresnois stands in Montmédy (Meuse), in the Grand Est region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 17th century, first half of the 18th century, 19th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

At Montmédy, in the Meuse department, the Fresnois estate preserves what remains of a château built in 1618 by Mathieu d'Awans, lieutenant governor of the town, and demolished in the last century. The main building was torn down in 1923 on the orders of the Baron d'Huart, who kept only the 18th century orangery, the entrance gate, a pedestrian door facing the village and the terraces sloping down toward the Chiers river. These elements, together with the park and its walls, staircases, ponds and colonnade, make up the site as it stands today.
