What the French Ministry of Culture records

Construction médiévale dotée d'un important système de fortifications (tours, douves, enceintes successives...). Restauré au début du 20e siècle par l'architecte Moreau (toitures, ouvertures plus vastes, décors intérieurs) , le château conserve des pièces au décor 18e siècle. Première mention de la chapelle en 1062. Du bâtiment d'origine (11e ou 12e siècle) , il ne reste que le choeur. Des chapelles ont été ajoutées au 15e siècle ; la nef et la façade nord ont été reconstruites au 19e siècle ; les vitraux est sont datés de 1857.
