Flavignac, in Haute-Vienne, is home to the château de Faye, built where a priory and then a manor house once stood on land held by the Loménie family. Between 1782 and 1786, architect Joseph Brousseau raised the current structure in place of the older medieval dwelling, giving it a central block framed by two low pavilions. Inside, classical decoration survives, including woodwork, fireplaces and gilded carvings. The facade overlooks a terraced garden arranged on two levels, while a landscape park added in 1970 completes the grounds.
