Located in Courrensan, in the Gers department, this château combines a 13th century medieval building with an 18th century wing, featuring a spiral staircase tower, mullioned windows and period wood paneling. A tower from the older section still stands at the northeast corner, while a massive structure between the two wings marks the former site of a keep. Beneath the oldest part, a barrel-vaulted room was carved directly into the rocky base. The site is linked to Scipion Dupleix, royal historiographer, and to Abbé Lucante, a botanist who carried out his studies there.
