What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château est connu depuis le 11e siècle. Certaines substructions ou parties souterraines semblent de cette époque, mais l'ensemble des vestiges paraît des 14e et 15e siècles. Le donjon, dont il ne reste que le premier niveau, remonterait au 11e siècle. La tour carrée, du 11e, a été réaménagée au 15e, avec escalier. Dans la boucle du mur d'enceinte subsistent deux nervures de la voûte d'une chapelle. La crypte se compose d'une chapelle du 11e siècle, voûtée en berceau avec une baie à l'arc en plein cintre. A la suite d'un incendie du château, au 15e siècle, une remise en état de l'habitation a été faite en 1735. Certains éléments du 15e y ont été réutilisés.
