Its outline, typical of southern French bastides, measures 32 by 15 metres and is marked by two round towers on the western side and a square tower to the east, a remnant of 14th-century military architecture. The mix of materials draws attention, as the south-western tower combines river stones with black volcanic stone on its upper section.
