To make a day of it

Château de Brazey-en-Morvan stands in Brazey-en-Morvan (Côte-d'Or), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 17th century, fourth quarter of the 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

North of the village of Brazey-en-Morvan, this château combines remnants of a medieval stronghold with farm wings rebuilt after the Revolution. Visitors mainly come to picture, behind the overgrown grounds, what the original manor looked like with its six towers and moats, of which only traces remain. The site also keeps one wing restored in the 1970s, the only part still holding a vaulted upper floor that once housed the kitchens.
