The present building, in neogothic style, was erected in the second half of the 19th century for the Marquis Léonel de Moustier, designed by architect Clément Parent, a pupil of Viollet-le-Duc, with Pierre Marnotte as site architect. Visitors can see a chapel modelled on the one at the château d'Amboise, terraced gardens, a kitchen garden decorated with sculptures, and a landscaped park that carries the remarkable garden label. The estate also keeps an older building, known as the old château, and a classified grotto in the nearby woods.
