At Blain, south of the Isac river, stand the remains of a ducal stronghold raised in the early 12th century, later extended by the Clisson family and held for nearly four centuries by the Rohan. The site recalls a siege carried out in 1591 by Catholic League troops and a dismantling ordered by Richelieu the following century. Visitors can walk among towers, moats and the residential wing, layers of both military and seigneurial architecture.
