Du 18e au 20e siècle, le domaine est le siège d'une exploitation rurale.Vers 1770, l'architecte italien Michel-Ange del Gabbio propose un agrandissement de la demeure. Ses plans reflètent une influence italienne (trois escaliers avec rampe sur rampe ; fronton triangulaire à l'avant-corps central) et française (survivance des enfilades ; alcôves...). Cette conjonction d'influences marque un moment clé de l'histoire de l'architecture ligérienne à la fin du 18e siècle.
