Château de Bessay stands in Bessay (Vendée), in the Pays de la Loire region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: fourth quarter of the 16th century, 17th century, 18th century, 19th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

In the Vendée region, some thirty kilometres from the coast, the Château de Bessay combines two late 16th century towers with a residential wing built in the 17th and 18th centuries. The so called Henri IV tower retains restored rooms, large fireplaces and a machicolated walkway, reached by a spiral staircase of about a hundred steps. The estate also holds a dovecote with 3,200 nesting holes, among the largest in the region, set within a park of old trees.
